The video linked below was created by two sections of a Cornerstone course, taught by Rachel Morgan. Rod Library assisted students to do research as part of this project that investigated food insecurity in the Cedar Valley. Students made use of the research gathered in class presentations and writing assignments.
The first-year students partnered with the NE Iowa Food Bank throughout the 2-semester course. The project was conceived by Rachel Morgan in collaboration with a Food Bank staff member, Mike Knipp, during the annual Service-Learning Institute for faculty.
Rod Library is glad to play an essential role in aiding students with research and service learning. Take a look at the great student output: Service-Learning UNI Cornerstone video
