Reprints of classic works or of other titles of continuing value are added to the collection when support of university study, teaching, and research justifies doing so. Reprints may be acquired to supplement or replace worn originals or to replace missing volumes. Particular attention is given to the physical quality of the binding and text block of the reproduction or reprint copy.
Reprints of single essays are occasionally added to the collection. Reprints of individual periodical issues are not acquired.
