Catherine Christian, a senior at UNI, has a music appreciation; she knew she wanted to be in the Broadway pit orchestra from a young age. She followed her heart to UNI and is on track to receive her Music General Studies degree in May of 2021. Christian is still working on her after-college plans as COVID-19 has caused Broadway to shutdown until June.

Rod Library is so excited to be holding the annual Mary Ann Bolton Undergraduate Research Award once again. Even though this award has been around for the past couple years it has made a big impact on the UNI Community. Students have the opportunity to win monetary awards for research projects they have already done at UNI.
As February continues, Rod Library feels it is vital to continually support and advocate for the black community here on campus! We want to show our support by giving students resources to learn and highlight the work students are doing in the black community!
We have all been living in very unconventional times but want to continue to create and carry on essential events while abiding by COVID guidelines.
Welcome Back, Students!
After a long break, we are so excited to see you all back on campus! As the semester has begun, we wanted to remind you of the guidelines and services Rod Library is maintaining due to COVID-19. To learn more about returning to campus and updates about COVID-19, please visit Forward Together: Protecting our Panthers.
The holiday season is finally here; after a long semester, it is time to relax and take a break. As students are on winter break, COVID-19 is not. Rod Library wanted to remind you about staying safe during the holidays with some fun activities you can do at home!
- Be socially distant while watching your favorite shows with friends! This is a new way to watch TV with your friends online over multiple streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Disney+.
Students, you have made it to the home stretch! After a very long and unconventional semester, we have finally arrived in the last couple of weeks of the fall semester. From all of us at Rod Library, we are so proud of every one of you. We understand you have had to face many challenges that would not be relevant a year ago.

What is Open Access?
Open Access is a growing international movement that uses the Internet to ensure students and anyone who desires information can receive it without restrictions—encouraging the unrestricted sharing of research results with everyone. Open Access is a time for the broader community to make openness consistent with doing research and ensuring that equity is at the center of this work. This year, Open Access has shifted its focus from talking about change to making a change that will continue year in and year out.
Rod Library understands that students are dealing with a lot. Some may be in unconventional situations for a couple of weeks. Rod Library has come prepared with an online resource full of light-hearted content to brighten your day and help you de-stress.
