Do you use the electronic journals available through the Library? Ever wonder what happens when a publisher goes out of business or drops a journal from its publications? Rod Library seeks to protect its investment in electronic journals and make purchased content available on an ongoing basis through its participation in Portico, an electronic archiving service. Portico provides a permanent archive of electronic scholarly journals issued by almost 200 contributing publishers.
Thanks to your student computer fees, we have a new color copier/printer/scanner on the main floor in the lobby. You can scan items and send them via email or save to a USB device. Stop at the Circulation desk if you need assistance.
We are currently hosting a demo version of a "T1 vision table" right outside of room 222 on the main floor. Please stop in and check it out. We would love to hear feedback!
In honor of Valentine’s week the Rod would like to set you up on a “Blind Date With A Book”
Here’s how it works- Stop by and check out a specially wrapped book from our display.
Take it home, unwrap it, read it, and enjoy! If you don’t like the book, simply return it to the library, its feelings won’t be hurt.
After reading the book write a couple of lines on our Facebook page (Rod Library @ UNI) and tell us how it went. All entries will be entered into a drawing for a sweet prize.
