Scope and Content
This collection consists of material from Citizens for Peace, a Waterloo-Cedar Falls group that advocated peace and the destruction of nuclear weapons from about 1982 through about 1987. There is a small amount of material produced by the local group; this material consists primarily of the group's newsletter. There is also a collection of publications from state, regional, and national groups relating to the fostering of peace in the world. Several people associated with the University of Northern Iowa, including Professor Alvin Sunseri, were also associated with the group.
James and Lucille Price, both former UNI staff members, gave this collection to the University of Northern Iowa Special Collections Division in June 2002.
