Scope and Content

This collection consists of records pertaining to the community and public relations functions of the University of Northern Iowa Museums.  The records were created primarily during the time when Kay Thuesen served as community relations officer for the Museums, but there are also records from before and after her time of service.

Typical files in this collection include correspondence, planning documents, event programs, examples of advertising, newsclippings, grant applications, budgets, and workshop material.  The original order of the collection has been retained:  files are arranged by the name of the event.  However, especially in the case of major, long term exhibits or programs, there may be files relating to both the major exhibit or program as well as files for individual components of those exhibits or programs.
