Scope and Content
Flora L. Bailey (d. 1974), daughter of Charles Bailey (Head, Department of Art and Manual Arts, 1905-43) graduated from the Iowa State Teachers College in 1930. She taught elementary school physical education in New Jersey and developed an interest in Navajo culture. Her publications about the Navajo include two pamphlets, Navaho Foods and Cooking Methods (1940) and Navaho Motor Habits (1942). This collection consists of material relating to the two pamphlets.
