Historical Note

The Iowa State Teachers College served as a training base during the Second World War, using its facilities and faculty as well as reduced wartime campus population to make the campus an effective training area. Over the course of the war, 2,157 men and women from the Teachers College served in the military. Sixty-nine died while in service. To  learn more about ISTC’s involvement in WWII, see SC&UA’s “Brief History of UNI, 1876-1995 (with addendum, 1995-2017)”.

The materials are arranged alphabetically by last name.
