James L. Kelly joined the science faculty of the Laboratory School of the University of Northern Iowa in 1969. He remained on that faculty until 1990, when he became a member of the faculty of the Office of Student Field Experience. He retired from the faculty in December 2009.
Scope and Content
This small collection is strong in the area of the mission and role of the Malcolm Price Laboratory School in the 1980s and 1990s. The files of the Laboratory School Study Team are especially instructive. It also provides good documentation on the threats to close the school in 2002 and then again in 2012.
Professor Kelly donated these papers to the University of Northern Iowa Archives in February 2012
