The Educational Media Center of UNI was a campus wide organization created to facilitate learning through providing faculty with media and equipment to help them in the classroom. The organization created informational booklets beginning in 1949, branched out to create Curriculum Laboratory informational booklets and catalogues in 1959, and started creating multi-media catalogues in 1972. These materials were created until 1992, when the organization became the Center for Educational Technology.
This collection is arranged chronologically.
Scope and Content
This series is a collection of information booklets about the Curriculum Laboratory’s audio-visual services, multimedia catalogues from the Educational Media Center, and other information booklets about the Educational Media Center, such as the faculty handbook and annual summary. The purpose of the Curriculum Laboratory booklets was to inform people about the audio and visual services located there, and to make students aware that they were welcome to use those services. The multimedia catalogues include the collection of tapes, film, and other forms of media available for checkout at the Curriculum Laboratory, an index of the titles of those pieces of the media collection, and the producers of them. The collection is arranged chronologically.
