Historical Note

Diane Shupbach, Director of Education at the Museums, gave these files to the University of Northern Iowa Archives in June 2012

Scope and Content

This collection consists of records pertaining to the educational programming efforts of the University of Northern Iowa Museums.  The records were created primarily during the time when Diane Shupbach served as Director of Education for the Museums, but there are also records from before her time of service, including a few examples extending back to the 1960s.  These files are generally noted with the "pre-2002" qualifying date.

Typical files in this collection include material collected, developed, and used for specific educational programs.  The most extensive files relate to dinosaurs, American Indians, UNI Museums collections, and Iowa prehistory.
