Scope and Content
This box contains volumes 1 and 2 of a UNI self-study made in 1981 for the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and a report from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools concerning a visit the Association made to UNI April 29-May 1, 1981. It also has a letter from Thurston E. Manning, Director of the Commission on Institutions of Higher Learning, to then UNI president John Kamerick. The letter reports the following recommendations about UNI:
- That accreditation be continued at the doctoral degree-granting level
- That the programs beyond the specialist degree level be limited to the Doctor of Industrial Technology program
- That the next comprehensive evaluation be scheduled in 1990-1991.
