Scope and Content

Robert Dean Talbott's papers are divided into two parts. The first and smaller part includes some of his professional writing as well as records relating to his work with the UNI Museum. The second part relates to his professional experience with Latin American studies. The UNI Museum files include correspondence, reports, policies, and minutes relating to Museum programs, services, collections, and accreditation. The Latin American files include conference proceedings, conference papers, UNI Latin American and Interamerican curricular and committee material. Talbott was a long-term and key participant in matters relating to Latin American studies at UNI. Prominent among Talbott's professional associations is the Midwest Association for Latin American Studies. Talbott gave these papers to Rod Library Special Collections upon his retirement in May 1996. He also donated minutes and other papers relating specifically to the Department of History which have been interfiled with existing Department of History series.
