Scope and Content
This collection consists of audio tape recordings, a transcription of the tape recordings, and an interpretive biographical essay on Roy White (1907-unknown). Mr. White was a jazz and gospel musician, born in Buxton, Iowa, and living in Perry, Iowa, at the time of the recording. Sarah Stubbe, a student of Professor John Baskerville in the Department of History at the University of Northern Iowa, produced and collected this material as part of a class project in 1998. Ms. Stubbe then gave the collection to UNI Rod Library Special Collections and University Archives.
