Talking about race and racism in the classroom can be challenging, uncomfortable, and risky. This edited volume focuses on how we can create spaces where we can have honest conversations about race and racism, and how we, as faculty, can facilitate those conversations effectively. It also addresses “how white educators can teach authentically about race,” strategies for guiding students to investigate their own racial identity, biases, and intersectionality, and what to do when we inevitably make mistakes.
