Xiaoting Wang's current abstract exhibit combines western painting techniques with traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy. By adopting Chinese splash-ink and freehand brushwork on rice paper, he creates abstract forms yet offers the viewer opportunities to discover realistic themes. He implements gouache, watercolor, and acrylic painting techniques, in addition to his personal and fluid movements. These pieces offer the visual language of his individualized technique into the expression of abstract art.
Rod Library's Fine & Performing Arts Collection unit will host another Xiaoting Wang exhibit in October 2019 with his most recent abstract art. For additional information about the artist, go to artsmell.com or contact him directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
