World War I : Lessons and LegaciesRod Library invites you to a special exhibition exploring how the lessons and legacies of World War I continue to affect the United States today. World War I: Lessons and Legacies is on view January 6 - February 15 inside Rod Library. The poster exhibition is brought to you courtesy of the Smithsonian and The United States World War I Centennial Commission. UNI Museum and Special Collections & University Archives will display artifacts supporting the exhibit. .  
On January 22, 12 p.m., Dr. Emily Machen, Associate Professor of History, will present Warriors, Caregivers, and Patriots: Women's Experiences in the First World War. Immediately followed by a Special Collections & University Archives Open House, 1-3 p.m. On January 29, 12 p.m., Dr. Thomas Connors, Associate Professor of History, will present "For the Fallen": Military Cemeteries of the Western Front. Both presentations will take place in the ScholarSpace LIB 301. The exhibition is on the main floor of Rod Library. Please find time to view the posters and displays and explore the history of the war and its lasting impact on American life.
