Tax Time is Coming!

Sunday, January 31, 2010 - 8:51pm - Tax time is coming upon us again!  You can find federal information and forms online at the IRS website.  For Iowa, paper forms are located on the 2nd floor by the Reference Desk.  Online information and forms for Iowa can be found on the Iowa Department of Revenue website.  If you need any assistance locating tax forms, please drop by the Reference desk.

The Circle

Friday, January 29, 2010 - 4:31pm - Do you love youth literature?  Or, simply wonder why so many adults are reading it, buzzing about it?  Then join us in The Circle on Thursday, February 4, 2010, at 3:30pm in the Youth Collection.  We will discuss a variety of picture books and full length novels. 

Biological Abstracts - A New Platform

Monday, January 25, 2010 - 3:23pm - The Biological Abstracts database, previously available to Library patrons on the Ovid platform, is now accessible through the ISI Web of Knowledge database package.  The database may be searched alone or in combination with other resources that are part of the Web of Knowledge package to which the Library subscribes.

Thursday, January 14, 2010 - 11:59am - The Library will be closed Monday, January 18th, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday.  We will return to our normal hours of operation on Tuesday the 19th.  You'll find a complete list of building hours on our Web site.Have a good weekend! 

What's Happening in the Browsing Room?

Thursday, January 14, 2010 - 9:40am - Need a break from the textbooks? The Browsing Room, located on your right as you enter the library, is home to a small selection of recent and classic fiction, popular non-fiction, and literary journals. The CFPL @ UNI collection, a small selection of popular fiction and non-fiction titles from the Cedar Falls Public Library, is located along the south wall. In the upcoming weeks the Browsing room will also provide access to popular major motion picture and well known documentary DVD’s. Stop in for a distraction!
