Ebooks from ebrary Now AvailableThursday, May 19, 2011 - 5:05pm - Rod Library is making available collections of ebooks distributed by the company ebrary. These collections include over 55,000 titles issued by U.S. academic and trade publishers. Most of the titles were published in the last decade. New titles are being added on an ongoing basis.There are individual entries for each title in the collection in UNISTAR , the online catalog. Some books also are available in print format in the local collection. Youth Collection Awarded Carver GrantMonday, May 16, 2011 - 11:07am - The Library has been awarded a $220,981 grant by the Roy J. Carver Memorial Trust for the re-furbishing of the Youth Collection and the enhancement of its resources. The grant application was prepared byYolanda Hood, Kate Martin, Marilyn Mercado, and Sandra Wilkens.

Librarians Participate in Cornerstone CourseMonday, May 16, 2011 - 11:04am - Dr. Alan Asher, Art & Music Librarian, and Dr. Yolanda Hood, Youth Collection Librarian, will serve as primary instructors for the University's first-year Cornerstone course in 2011-2012. Dr. Asher also will serve as chair of one of the course clusters.

The thesis “An Occupational Analysis of Digital Prepress in the Des Moines and Eastern Iowa Regions” was successfully defended on March 10, 2011.
