If you haven't already noticed, there is an area behind the Reference desk on the 2nd (main) floor that will be transformed into a new learning commons area.  We want your ideas! Welcome UNI Museums to the Rod Library Family!

Tuesday, September 11, 2012 - 4:27pm - As of July 1, 2012, the UNI Museums joined the Rod Library organization. The UNI Museums are currently comprised of the University Museum and the Marshall Center School. The Museums will be reporting to Head of Collection Management and Special Services Kate Martin.While recent budget reductions have closed the doors of the University Museum to the general public, the Museums continue to be open for business, serving as an academic resource to faculty and departments through exhibitions, internships for students, and lectures for UNI classes. Repair Work

Monday, September 10, 2012 - 10:17am - We currently have some people from the Physical Plant working on repairing a bathroom on the west side of the building (Campanile Side). To do this work, they needed to shut water off on the West side of the building.No water will be available in restrooms, drinking fountains or sinks until they are finished. The restrooms and drinking fountains on the EAST side (facing the union) are available for use.We will let you know when the water on the west side has been turned on again.  Update!  We are back in business!

Thursday, September 6, 2012 - 7:53am - Welcome to our new Dean of Library Services, Chris Cox!  Dean Cox began work at the Library on Monday August 27th. Many thanks to our Acting Dean, Katherine Martin, for her leadership and service in this position this past year.  She returns to her full duties now as Head of the Collection Management and Special Services Department.
