Remember - Theft Happens!!

Tuesday, April 30, 2013 - 12:12pm - We know it's that time of the semester.  You're living almost 24/7 in the library trying to finish another paper or reading those last chapters.  Do you know who else is here at the library?  Yep, thieves.  They're waiting for you to leave your backpacks, cell phones, laptops, and wallets alone for just that moment you go to get a drink of water or go to the restroom.  That's all the longer they need to take your personal items.  Be smart.  Don't leave your personal items unattended.  In fact if library staff see items unattended, we will leave a small reminder that your items could have been the target for thieves.  Has it happened this semester already?  YES!  ... New, more powerful searching for articles and more

Monday, April 29, 2013 - 8:24am - You can get a jump start on the latest way to find the articles, books, and other information you need for your class assignments and research. Just click on the "Try me!" tab on the library home page to access the new, more powerful version of Panther Prowler, which will be officially unveiled this summer. Try it out, and you should notice right away that the top results are even more relevant to your search than before. This single, quick search finds the best information from almost all of the library's electronic journals and databases, as well as from the library catalog of books, DVDs, CDs, and other physical items.

Book Swap: UNI Earth Week Celebration

Wednesday, April 3, 2013 - 4:42pm - Please bring your used hardcover & paperback books to the Rod Library Circulation Desk before April 21st. You will receive one ticket for each book that you bring to the Circulation Desk. You can then exchange each ticket for a different book on Earth Day, April 22 from 10:00-2:00pm outside the library. All students, faculty, staff, and community members will be able to swap books. Please no magazines or textbooks!
