Is half your project group meeting at Rod Library, and the other half off-campus? Or are you a faculty member interested in remote office hours? Give Zoom a try!
Zoom video chat is a simple and reliable method for connecting up to 25 users into a single video chat screen, with the ability to share any desktop, record sessions, and share links and comments via text chat. And unlike Facetime, it's usable on a wide array of devices -- PC's, Macs, iPads, iPhones, and Android smartphones.
Best of all, UNI already has a campus license for the service...so if you join with your UNI e-mail address, there's no cost to you.
You can create a 10 digit 'permalink' for your Zoom (just use your telephone number for easy recall). Then open the room whenever you want to start a group or one-on-one video session.
To create your own account and download the Zoom chat software, visit http://uni.zoom.us.
