Rod Library is proud to present artwork by UNI student Devon Mettlin on the Learning Commons Exhibition Wall during the month of December.
Devon Mettlin is an Electronic Media Production and Performance major at UNI. He works as a Media Consultant at the Rod Library Information Desk. Devon was raised in Cedar Falls and especially enjoys the river, parks and trails, and nature’s seasonal changes, which are reflected in his artwork. As a child he used styrofoam from his great-grandmother’s recycling bin to construct 3D objects. He now uses the layering technique he developed using styrofoam to create images using Photoshop and photography.
Devon expressed, “Thanks to my love for photography, design, and Photoshop, I have decided to pursue a career in the digital arts. My appreciation for the outdoors combined with my passion for photography and digital creations, has allowed me to develop the series of collages in this exhibit.”
