New OneSearch!

Friday, May 27, 2016 - 3:44pm - New OneSearch! Rod Library is moving to a new OneSearch and library catalog as of June 6, 2016!  What does this mean for you? Single Stall Restrooms

Tuesday, May 17, 2016 - 9:08am - Two single occupancy gender inclusive restrooms are now available on the first floor of the library near the south stairs.  The restrooms are located in rooms 135 and 136.  In addition, one restroom also includes a baby changing station.  These restrooms are not accessible to wheelchairs or other mobility aids however accessible restrooms can be found on the 4th floor.  For the locations of other single occupancy restrooms at UNI visit the LGBT* Center's information page.  

Rod Library receives Gale Cengage Learning Financial Development Award

Monday, May 16, 2016 - 11:59am - Rod Library has been named as the Gale Cengage Learning Financial Development Award recipient!  The award will be presented at the annual ALA Award Ceremony on Sunday June 26 in at the ALA Annual Conference in Orlando.  The award is presented annually to a library organization for exhibiting meritorious achievements in carrying out a project to secure new funding resources for a public or academic library.   ALA has released a press release read the full article here.      

May Displays: Let's Celebrate Children's Book Week!

Tuesday, May 3, 2016 - 8:53am - Our main Youth display this month is a celebration of Children's Book Week. May 2-8, 2016, is the 97th anniversary of this celebration of books for young readers and literacy. The yearly event week is sponsored by several non-profit organizations including Every Child a Reader and Children’s Book Council. Children's Book Week promotes the life-changing power of children's books and literacy. We've displayed many of our favorite titles to help you celebrate!
