On Tuesday, April 18, Trevor Dawes will be visiting Rod Library. Dawes is the May Morris Librarian and vice provost for libraries and museums at the University of Delaware, and he served as co-chair of the American Library Association's Task Force for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
Dawes will be visiting with a variety of campus groups to discuss his work on the Task Force and to talk about the role of libraries as advocates for diversity and inclusion.
At 11 a.m., there will be a presentation in the Rod Library ScholarSpace for all interested members of the campus community. In this presentation, entitled "Library Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives," Dawes will focus on his work as co-chair of the American Library Association’s Task Force for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and how libraries have been successfully advancing diversity and inclusion initiatives on their campuses.
We hope you'll be able to join us for this exciting visit! Please contact Katelyn Browne, chair of the Rod Library Diversity Committee, at email@example.com with any questions.
