What's the Point of Pointillism?

A Q&A with professor, turtle expert, and illustrator Jeff Tamplin

Dr. Jeff Tamplin is a University of Northern Iowa Professor of Biology who teaches courses in Introductory Biology, Ecology, Evolution, and Vertebrate Zoology. What he is not known for is his incredible illustration skills in pointillism. He currently has an art exhibit inside Rod Library named, Creatures in Pointillism. The exhibit offers an opportunity for the audience to vote for their favorite piece of art. "I'd be interested in what others think about the art, what they like and don't like, and why," Tamplin said.

Rod Library and Dr. Tamplin are hosting a questions and answers event on Tuesday, September 19, from 7:00 - 8:00 pm, Rod Library, room 287. Please bring your questions and have a conversation with the artist. He promises that he will not give you a test over the event!
