Welcome back, students! We hope you had a restful and rejuvenating break. As you begin establishing your Spring 2020 routine, we want to invite you to make Rod Library a destination this semester. Rod Library’s staff and librarians are committed to your success and we encourage you to take advantage of the many ways in which we can support you on your academic journey.
Looking for information?
We have vast collections, both in print and online, to support your every academic endeavor. If you need help navigating our collections for any of your information needs, academic or otherwise, stop by the Library Services desk for research assistance. Or, if you prefer to plan, schedule a research consultation with a librarian. Can’t make it to the library? We’ve got you covered - chat with us.
Looking for a space to study or relax?
Rod Library has the perfect space for everyone. The Learning Commons on the main floor has a variety of seating options, technology for working independently or with groups, and a cafe. If quiet is study is what you seek, head to the fourth floor. If you’ve got kids in tow, we’ve got a Family Study Room that both you and kids will find productive. If you need privacy or space to host a meeting or practice a presentation, reserve one of our many study or meeting rooms. And if you need a little extra help with that assignment, stop by The Learning Center @ Rod Library for walk-in tutoring.
Needing a study break?
Take a walk through the UNI Museum’s exhibits on the first floor of the library, check out the rotating art exhibit on the Learning Commons Exhibition Wall, or explore the many exhibit cases and artwork throughout the library. Grab a coffee or tea at the Book Bistro and browse through our collection of popular fiction (courtesy of Cedar Falls Public Library) and new DVDs. Stop by the library’s Makerspace anytime to exercise your creative side - and come back on Wednesdays between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. for relaxing and rejuvenating activities led by the Wellness Center.
