How can the PATRON help speed up the process?
Check (UNI Library Catalog).
Double-check our Library Catalog to verify that our library does not own the item.
Exhaust local resources.
Make sure that locally available resources have been exhausted. Library Services Desk staff and/or Librarians may have some suggestions on finding more information in the Rod Library.
Take time to carefully review citations and then request only those materials that seem most useful. Double-check the list of items not available through interlibrary loan (for example- textbooks).
Check the Language.
Some library indexes give citations to journals with articles written in a foreign language. Make sure the materials requested via Interlibrary Loan are in a language in which you have reading proficiency.
Carefully complete the Interlibrary Loan request forms.
Accuracy and clarity of information are very important to a successful interlibrary loan search. Do not use abbreviations in the title fields of the request.
Distance Education Students.
Distance Education Students should enter requests for materials through the ILLiad service.
