The KIC scanner is an amazing resource here to use at Rod Library.
This machine uses state of the art technology to scan a wide variety of documents, such as reports, books, pictures, art, journals, maps, and drawings.
You will find this scanning resource in the Digital Media Hub right next to the printers on the main floor as well as along the West wall by the entrance.
To start using the machine place the item you plan on scanning face up on the black scanning bed. You should make sure your item is centered first. You then can hit the scan button on the touchscreen, but you must agree to the copyright laws.
You can choose to scan the left side, right side, both or full page on the mini touchscreen. If you are using a book, you can even prop it up if needed. If you have multiple pages to scan place the next one and hit the scan button again.
After you are done scanning your material, you have multiple options to save your document. You can save it to a flash drive or send it to yourself through an email.
Touch the “end session” button to end your session and finish scanning.
