We use a variety of online tools to ensure our sites are accessible to our users.   These tools are:

  • WAVE Validation:  The Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (a.k.a. WAVE) scans a library webpage for problems which may cause the page to render poorly on screen readers and other accessibility devices.
  • Section 508 Checklist: Rod Library's content editors and web developers review this WebAIM page periodically to ensure content meets the standards of Section 508.
  • HTML5 Validation: This tool checks for broken HTML5 Code, which may cause the site to render incorrectly on accessibility devices.
  • CSS Validation:  This checker allows library web developers to minimize (or eliminate!) problem CSS styling, which may cause viewing problems for devices.
